This was a rough day for our group. Yesterdays blog by Chris mentioned Big Sky Country and "The sky seems to always be more intimidating in these flat areas". Well, I was up quite late last night and checked the radar one last time. When I saw it I knew they were having a rough night. Reds and oranges on radar are never a good thing. Sure enough they had some pretty good storms. Roger said it's pretty hard to sleep threw those in a tent. Then today....................you guessed it, more storms. Some even included sleet. At one point they had to take shelter under the eve of a house; no one was home. They are in a hotel tonight drying out, warming up and hoping to get some much needed sleep. Roger thought they would post tonight but they must have all been just to tired. He said there wouldn't be much for pictures today either, due to the storms.
So I wish them a wonderful nights sleep and a much better day tomorrow. Also, for those of you news people who know of the flooding in Minot, ND; yes that is a town they are supposed to go through and yes, they know about the flooding and are monitoring the news and the Adventure Cycling site for any suggested changes to the route. Chuck even emailed Chris an alternate route.
A 'Post Script', I just checked the radar. I am so happy they are in a little hotel in Cooperstown. The radar doesn't look nearly as bad as last night, but it does have a bit of reds, more oranges to yellows, and a lot of greens. They are getting poured on again. Sweet dreams to our tired bikers.

Yup rough day
Yup, rough day. I will try to post pictures and details soon. The cold weather is wreaking havoc on our mileage and group moral. Also, it seems to be brining on sore knees to a few of us. It is really impossible to keep anything warm.....especially the kness.
