Day 19: July 2: Wolf Point, MT to Glasgow, MT: 56 miles

We left Wolf Point after breakfast at an expensive cafe. I don't remember the name. The food was average and the price was high. The kids went to McDonald's instead to save some money.

We will spend the next several days on or right next to Highway 2. Today we took a side road and it was not too bad. It stayed paved and there was almost no traffic. We had the wind at our backs and were making great time. Then Chris told me to slow down because nobody else could keep up. Hmmm I guess 16 mph with a tailwind is just too fast for the rest. Though my speed came in handy when I hit 22 mph trying to get away from a mean dog. Nobody else could catch me to spray the dog, but they were yelling and able to distract him. Thank goodness!

Now that we are back on track with the maps and routes, Katie is back to being our navigator. Here she is trying to read and ride because we were making such good time.

The day was starting to get very hot, 90 some degrees, but we found some food and ice cream in Nashua. It was right on route and had acceptable food.

When arriving in Glasgow we tried to find a campsite at the Cottonwood Inn but they wanted to charge per tent and 4 tents would be very pricey. A nice person staying in the hotel told us about another campground - Shady Rest RV park. We gave them a call and they set us up with a sweet place for only 17 dollars! We had shade under the porch, wifi, and close to the restrooms.

Our day ended with a quick rain shower while we sat eating in Pizza Hut downtown. When we got back Katie found her finally dried shoes were now wet again from our little shower. Oops! She'll have to start the drying process all over again.
