The worst drivers were probably Missouri, followed by Louisianna. There are good and bad drivers everywhere however the poor road conditions in Missouri and Louisianna seem to make it worse. It is mostly a matter of patience.

The best drivers were definitely Iowa. The people of Iowa had a level of patience and bicycle awareness unparalleled on the trip.
