Day 18: Circle, MT to Wolf Point, MT: 56 miles.....

Yahhhhhh, they are back on Hwy 2. They made up the 100 miles they lost by driving south to safely get out of North Dakota. I did some checking, and this means they are about 240 miles short of what they would have pedaled if they could've just continued across on Hwy 2. Not to worry folks, they will make this up in little ways. They don't count the miles when they bike for food or to a store for needs like more tires and/or tubes. (I don't really care if they make it up or not, just as long as they are safe.) For those who have chosen to donate to Katie's 2 Fundraisers like I have, believe me, she has more than earned the $$$ you have committed to. I am so proud of Katie. She chose to help others while doing this bike trip. She is not only working hard now to accomplish this trip, she also worked really hard at 2 jobs to save up to do this trip. Miss Katie, you continue to amaze me.

Our group is camping in a city park in Wolf Point tonight. Roger said the temps. were in the mid 70's for them today. They really appreciated the break there but they still had near headwinds all day. It was hilly but not as bad as yesterday. He did say there were many more trucks on the roads today though, so they had to keep their attention focused on riding. Not so much silly stuff today. Maybe the post tomorrow will show some interesting pictures.

Just a reminder to you all; they are in Montana and that means they are getting to areas where there may be no cell reception in stretches. If that's the case, we may not hear from them for a day or two at different times. I'll post if they don't, as usual, unless I don't hear from them. So hang in there, we'll update you as we can.

To the group: it's been awhile since someone else posted a blog. I love to read what Chris writes, but he sounds like he needs more sleep. How about it if we hear from Katie or Roger? Just a thought.
